ZATCA Launches the Digital Assistant “Ask Ziyad” to Promote its Customer Experience and Digital Transformation

Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) announced launching of the Digital Assistant “Ask Ziyad” backed by Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. This announcement was made during the Digital Government Forum as a step demonstrating ZATCA’s commitment to support the digital transformation journey in Saudi Arabia and promote customer experience in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
H.E. Eng. Suhail Abanmi, Governor of ZATCA, delivered a speech in the Forum organized by Digital Government Authority (DGA) saying that the digital assistant “Ask Ziyad” promotes ZATCA’s unwavering commitment to be an active contributor in the digital transformation journey in Saudi Arabia by launching digital initiatives, services and tools that contribute to improving work efficiency, leveling up Zakat, tax and customs compliance and enabling customers to conveniently and easily access the accurate information.
H.E. Abanmi pointed out that such Digital Assistant “Ask Ziyad” is backed by generative AI technologies and serves as a comprehensive and reliable reference for all customer segments benefiting from ZATCA’s services, including taxpayers, importers, exporters, investors, travelers, individuals, and business owners. He stated that the Digital Assistant uses its capability to provide the customers with reliable information, instantly answers their inquiries and enables them to clearly know their obligations and right. This will enhance the customers’ ability to take the right decisions supporting their compliance in Zakat, tax and customs.
H.E. Eng. Suhail Abanmi added that this step comes as part of ZATCA’s efforts to adopt sustainable digital transformation and its commitment to employ the cutting-edge technology to support customers’ journey and improve their experience.
The Digital Assistant “Ask Ziyad” answers Zakat, tax and customs-related inquiries precisely and efficiently, through comprehensive database containing over 130 guidelines on ZATCA’s website (zatca.gov.sa). It conveniently and easily interacts with customers in audio or text format, which raises the satisfaction level of taxpayers, whether individuals and businesses.
This Digital Assistant “Ask Ziyad” embodies ZATCA’s vision to invest in the modern technologies in order to enhance the Zakat, tax and customs ecosystem in a way that promote compliance and increase efficiency of the services.
